Dressed To Chill
18 Oct / Fashion
Whilst the arrival of Winters passed meant putting our sun kissed limbs away into trousers for the next 8 months, only to be revealved sad and pale 8 months later, AW 2014 invites gams to the party. Chill, you can still pack the fake tan #coughandrazorcough# until the summer sun of next year, what we’re talking about this season are cute midi skirts in feminine sorbets and dreamy soft tilled and silks contrasted with bold print on print pairings. These should be matched with tights to keep out the chill and dressed up or down with boots and knits for day, and statement jakets and oversided clutches for night. The midi length also makes a show in dresses of all silhouettes. Below are a few of my favourites for your perusal.
Classic lady-like pleats and tulle get a modern revisit in muted layers from Marc By Marc Jacobs.
Let House Of Hollands trademark bold prints brighten up the greyest of days.
Metallics are here to stay, this time lending a twist to classic shapes as with this midi from TIBI.
Continuing fashions current experimentation with the classic silluettes this rubber pencil skirt from Toga takes lady-liked ressing into new territory.
